About Us

Message from the President of the Hindu Society of Manitoba

The Hindu Society of Manitoba (HSM) is a not-for-profit organization engaged in promoting the Hindu religion and culture. Established in 1970, our organization runs and operates two Temples and Cultural Hall facilities located at 854 Ellice Ave and 999 St. Annes Road in Winnipeg Manitoba. These facilities are managed by two Management Committees who oversee the day-to-day operations and the affairs of the society are managed by the Board of Governors,all of which are made up of volunteers.

 

Our centers serve as vibrant hubs of activity, fostering community engagement and spiritual growth

The Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre located on 854 Ellice Ave provides cultural and religious services in downtown Winnipeg.
As as our first temple in Winnipeg it has for years continued to serve the needs of Hindu Community.

HSM runs a prestigious school for our youth and children through Dr.
 Madhuri Jain Vidya Bhavan. Classes are held on Saturdays & Sundays.
Various languages and math classes are offered by our volunteers on regular basis.

The Dr. Krishnamurti & Ganga Dakshinamurti Library provides important literature and holy books like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Gita etc. Various other religious and cultural books are available for reading in addition   to   children's books.
